An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic self-motivated individual to join our team as Network Administrator. This fixed term contract role (on a self employed basis) will offer a unique prospect for the right candidate to grow professionally by affording an opportunity to participate in the day to day running and growth of the PharmaChem Skillnet

The role involves initiating, coordinating and supporting the activities required for the day to day running of operations in the Network.

Reporting to the Network Manager, the successful candidate will ensure that the PharmaChem Skillnet complies with the requirements of Skillnets Limited in relation to publicity, reporting, accounting and other requirements specified by Skillnets Limited while also working towards exceeding KPI targets as set out by Skillnets Ltd.

Overall aim of PharmaChem Skillnet

The PharmaChem Skillnet aims to support a culture of continuous learning in network member companies in the Pharma, BioPharma, Chemical and Medical Device Industries by providing off the shelf and tailor made training interventions.  Training solutions are enterprise led with network members inputting to the programme design, duration and certification; as well as location and dates of delivery.


Role Description
This is a Specific Purpose Contract role.  Candidates will be engaged on a Self Employed basis to cover Maternity Leave.  The role is being offered for a six month period from February to September 2018 with the potential option of a contract extension until December 2018.


Place of work
Glanmire, Co Cork on a 3 to 4 day week basis.  Flexibility to work from home also at the discretion of the Network Manager.

Commensurate with experience

Network Administrator responsibilities:

• The primary role of the Administrator is to assist the Network Manager with the operation of PharmaChem Skillnet Training Network.  The successful candidate will work with the Network Manager to achieve business aims & continually strive to achieve network targets.
• Assist Member Companies in the identification and delivery of training requirements.
• Working with the Network Manager to adhere to procurement requirements while also ensuring compliance ahead of any course commencement.
• Assist in the planning, organisation and management of delivery schedules for current and future programmes.
• Book off-site venues and coordinate service requirements.
• Plan and run or assist with additional programme events: expert briefs, site visits, network meetings and steering committee meetings.
• Ensure the Pharmachem Skillnet website and other related websites are maintained and updated on a weekly basis with schedules, regular updates, news items etc.
• Prepare Monthly Reports and statistics of all training activity, including member bookings and upcoming courses.
• Collect and collate all training course data to relevant systems ensuring the Skillnets online activity management system is updated and maintained with relevant information at all times and in line with Skillnets reporting requirements.
• Network Administrator role remit shall also include weekly instruction from the Network Manager, which may involve other duties which require to be conducted in order to meet the demands of the network, which will vary from time to time.


Prospective Candidates should be:

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and all social media platforms
• Experienced in project management
• Preferably educated to degree level
• Efficient and adaptable with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Flexible with the ability to multitask while also having strong attention to detail
• Self starter capable of working on own initiative while also working as a member of a small team
